Leave your pharmacy. Bring nothing.
Transferring a prescription to Sophia's Pharmacy takes about two minutes of your time. We contact your current pharmacy, verify your insurance, coordinate with your physician if anything needs renewing — and deliver your first fill, often the same day.
- ✓ Your refills carry over — nothing is lost in the move
- ✓ You never call your old pharmacy. We do.
- ✓ Insurance verified and prior-auth issues flagged before they delay you
- ✓ Every prescription moves together — five medications or fifteen
- ✓ Nothing is canceled until your medications are safely active here — and you're never locked in
Prefer a human from the first moment? Call (305) 239-9199 or text us — a pharmacist will take it from there.
Let's begin with you
Two fields — the whole process takes about two minutes.
Used only by our pharmacists to complete your transfer. Never for marketing.
Where are your prescriptions now?
The pharmacy name and rough location is enough — we'll find the rest.

A pharmacist will text you within the hour to confirm the transfer is underway.

Our promise: completed within one business hour, or a pharmacist calls you personally with the reason. Nothing changes at your old pharmacy until everything is confirmed with you.
Your transfer has begun.
Corrine Kaplan, PharmD or Jonathan Abraham, PharmD — whoever is on duty — has your request and will text you from (305) 239-9199 shortly to confirm your medications and first delivery window.
Until then, nothing changes: your prescriptions remain exactly as they are at your current pharmacy until every detail is confirmed with you.
Typical completion: within one business hourFrom the moment you press send,
it's our problem — not yours.
A pharmacist — not a system — picks it up
Your request goes directly to the pharmacist on duty. You'll get a text confirming we've started, with a name you can reply to.
We contact your old pharmacy
Pharmacy-to-pharmacy, the way transfers are legally done. Your remaining refills move with the prescription. If anything has expired or run out of refills, we contact your physician for a renewal — you don't lift a finger.
Insurance verified, obstacles cleared
We run your coverage, catch prior-authorization requirements before they become delays, and flag any savings we find — manufacturer programs, formulary alternatives worth discussing with your doctor.
Your first fill arrives
Temperature-controlled, discreet delivery across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach — often the same day. From then on, refills simply appear before you run out.
The fine print, in plain sight.
Mid-refill? Traveling? Snowbird season?
Transfer anyway.
There is no wrong moment to switch. We time the transfer so you never experience a gap — coordinating your remaining supply, your refill dates, and even a second pharmacy up north if you split the year between states.
- ✓ Seasonal-resident coordination with out-of-state pharmacies
- ✓ Medication review — interactions, duplications, savings
- ✓ Enrollment in Personalized Medication Packs, if you'd like
- ✓ Same-day delivery setup for your building or home
Asked often, answered honestly.
How long does a prescription transfer take?+
Most transfers complete within one business hour of your request. The variables outside our control are your old pharmacy's phone responsiveness and, occasionally, a physician renewal — in both cases we keep you updated by text so you're never wondering.
How does the transfer actually work?+
Under Florida law, prescriptions transfer pharmacy-to-pharmacy: our pharmacist contacts yours, receives the prescription details and remaining refills, and the prescription becomes active at Sophia's. You authorize it once; we execute everything.
Are there medications that can't be transferred?+
A small number of controlled substances have transfer restrictions under federal rules — certain ones can be transferred only once, and some can't be transferred at all. When that applies, we simply request a new prescription from your physician instead, which usually takes about as long. Either way, the path runs through us, not you.
Will my copays change?+
Your insurance plan sets your copays, not the pharmacy — so they stay the same. What often does change: our team reviews your medications for manufacturer savings programs and formulary opportunities your previous pharmacy may never have mentioned.
Can I transfer prescriptions for my whole family — or my parents?+
Yes. Family transfers are common, and with consent you can initiate a transfer on behalf of a parent — many of our patients are enrolled by their adult children, including from out of state. One call can move an entire household.
What happens after the transfer — do I need to manage refills?+
No. Ongoing refill management is part of being a Sophia's patient: we track your fill dates, contact prescribers for renewals, and deliver before you run out. If you enroll in Personalized Medication Packs, everything also arrives pre-sorted by dose time — Morning, Afternoon, Evening, Bedtime.
The best time to leave your pharmacy
was years ago.
The second-best time is right now — and this time, someone else does the leaving for you.
